The summer girl aesthetic Is real and this Is how I’m nailing It...
Summer wish list: pieces I’m eyeing up right now.
I can’t quite believe we’re at the start of July already, time seems to be flying by. So much so, I haven’t even had a real chance to think about my summer wardrobe this year. And summer is my time to shine, not only is it my happy season (like it is for most of us) with warm sun on the skin, European holidays, and the best U.K. beach walks, but it’s also my favourite season to dress and style myself. But considering we just had (and are currently having) an almighty heatwave in the U.K., I think it might be about time to take a little peek online and see what’s catching my eye this summer.
Summer brings a certain ease when it comes to clothes. For me, fewer layers mean less faff and more freedom. There’s nothing I love more than a fresh white T-shirt or tank top paired with a good pair of linen trousers or jeans - to me this is the ultimate fail-safe combo.
Now that I live in Cornwall, my style has definitely changed a little. There’s not much London street style happening over here, and I definitely gravitate towards more comfortable clothing. I haven’t worn a blazer in a very long time… that’s not to say I don’t still want to feel put-together and chic. I still love fashion and styling, and I don’t think that will ever leave me. Yes, my lifestyle has changed slightly, but I still look forward to getting dressed and styling myself, no matter the scenario.
I thought I’d pull together a few outfit ideas that are easy to wear day-to-day, pieces that feel effortless yet polished, whether you’re heading to work, running errands, or grabbing coffee with a friend. These looks are all about comfort, versatility, and a touch of style you can rely on no matter what your schedule looks like.

Hi Jessica, I love this! I DM'd you on Insta, I wanted to get hold of you as I live not too far away in North Devon & I wanted to invite you on my Podcast to talk about style / wardrobe when you live by the sea..... I'm @marialemesurier. Have a lovely day, Maria x x
Feels slightly vulnerable saying this, but I found this so great! I struggle with summer, I never know what to wear because of a mix of things like sensory issues, decision fatigue, and overthinking - basically all explained by the fact I am absolutely riddled with ADHD 😂 So I know that's probably not your target demographic, but its so so helpful for me to see visuals of possible outfits i can put together for my WFH and errands life, still comfy, still casual - I'd stand in front of my wardrobe for ages and still throw on sweatpants after I get overwhelmed. So thank you 🌸
